- A Grand Canyon Honeymoon
The United States' – and one of the world's – greatest natural wonders is also a romantic choice for a honeymoon. The Grand Canyon is one of the few places that words, and even pictures, fail to adequately describe. Believed to be nearly two billion years old, the Grand Canyon was created by the current of the Colorado River, which slices through the rocky canyon. The Grand Canyon is 277 miles long and ranges from ¼ mile to 15 miles wide. It averages more than a mile deep. You really have to see it to appreciate its majesty and beauty. The site offers hiking, viewing, and flightseeing trips. You can even stay at the historic El Tovar lodge at the edge of the South Rim of the Canyon.

Most of the home’s original furnishings and artwork have been retained and the house looks today as if the family just stepped out. The 8000-acre Biltmore Estate, however, is more than just a house. There are beautiful gardens, a working winery, and a luxurious 4-star inn on the grounds – a perfect spot for a honeymoon. Visit the Biltmore Estate for a taste of American history and of the turn-of-the (20th) century taste for opulent living.

Searching the Internet recently, I came across two new products, designed to make frequent travelers' lives easier and less stressful. The first is a service that allows you to bypass the confusing – and ever-changing – airport security regulations by having your toiletries and personal care items delivered directly to your destination. The company, "Never Check-It" allows customers to choose from more than 40 items to be included in their personal kit. The Easy Travel Kit is then delivered via U.S. priority mail to your destination and an email confirmation is sent to you when the kit arrives. Kits start at $19.95.
