Costa Serena Debuts in the Mediterranean
Costa Cruise Lines' new flagship, the Costa Serena, debuted at the end of May with a voyage from Savona Italy to Marseilles France. The 1465-passenger vessel is the largest cruise ship ever built in Italy and features a two-level spa, over 500 balcony cabins, and 87 Samsara suites that have direct access to the spa. In short, it's a great place for a pamper honeymoon.
Other ship facilities include four swimming pools, including two with retractable roofs; five restaurants; 13 bars and lounges; an art gallery; and a health and fitness club.
The Costa Serena will be stationed in the Mediterranean Sea year round and will call at ports from the Black Sea to the Azores. For more information on the Costa Serena, see the Costa Cruise Line Web site http://www.costaserena.net.
Costa Cruise ships are known for their sleek northern Italian-style interiors, their excellent cuisine; and their diverse mix of North American, European, and South American passengers.
