Norwegian Pearl Shines

Honeymoon Norwegian PearlNorwegian Cruise Lines' latest addition to its fleet, the Norwegian Pearl, is the colorful and cheerful embodiment of their "freestyle cruising" approach to cruising - and the perfect honeymoon at sea. The 2394-passenger liner, which was launched in December, features a myriad of dining options: the casual Garden Café; the Summer Palace, a Russian-influenced restaurant with Faberge egg decorations and rich, colorful art; and Mambos Latin/Tapas, a lively Tex-Mex eatery, among others. Unlike traditional cruises, guests on Norwegian Cruise ships have the choice to dine when, where, and with whom they choose each day.

Activities range from the predictable – the tropical-themed Tahitian Pool and the 200-slot casino – to the surprising – "Bliss," the first bowling alley at sea with colorful balls, bowling shoes for rent, and an adjacent lounge. Guests will never get bored on this ship. In addition, there is a rock-climbing wall, a floor-to-ceiling TV screen in the atrium showing non-stop sporting events, and an oceanview work-out facility.

Over half of the 1197 staterooms aboard the Pearl include a private balcony, a perfect honeymoon indulgence. The ship also boasts 179 suites and two 4390-square foot Garden Villas, which feature their own private atrium and pool.

The Norwegian Pearl will make nine-day voyages from Miami to the Southern Caribbean through April before heading to Alaska via the Panama Canal for the summer season. For more information on the Pearl, visit Norwegian Cruise Line's website.
